Expect a short list. Across the zip codes in our listings, the median has 2 facilities within 1 mile of its center. In dense city neighborhoods you may find several. In suburbs and small towns, you may find none.
A 1 mile unit is worth hunting for if:
- You do not have a car and plan to walk or use a hand truck.
- You will visit several times a week, for example for business stock.
- You live in a city where a short drive can still take 20 minutes.
If nothing comes up, the finder shows the closest options just outside the line, with their distance, so you can see how far you would really need to go. Switching to 3 miles is the next step. The median zip code in our listings has 10 facilities in that radius.
