Short answer
Open the finder and tap the "24 hours" filter. It shows only facilities that list 24-hour access every day of the week. Expect a short list: just 14% of facilities in our listings qualify.
More common are long daily hours. In our listings, 6 AM to 10 PM is the most common schedule, and about 46% of facilities are open until 10 PM or later on weekdays.
Before you rent for round-the-clock access, confirm three things:
- It applies to your unit. Some properties offer 24-hour access only on certain buildings or for a higher rate. Confirm 24-hour access for the specific property and unit.
- The listed hours are gate hours. Public listings sometimes show office hours. The gate can be open longer, or the office can be open while after-hours access is restricted.
- The site is lit and watched at night. Visit once after dark if you plan to go late. Look for lighting along the path to your unit and working cameras.
24-hour access is most useful for shift workers, contractors who start early, and anyone who moves stock in and out for a business. If you only visit on weekends, a facility open 6 AM to 10 PM is usually enough, and you will have many more to choose from within 5 miles.
